Originating only recently in Spain in 1991, this new cultivar is a cross between the iconic Spanish Picual and Arbequina varieties. Our example is sweet and delicate and hails from Portugal. Displays pleasant notes of green almond and olive.
Notes: A mild olive oil that pairs well with many balsamic vinegars: especially Gravenstein Apple, Cranberry Pear, Peach and Grapefruit. Drizzle on bread with a little Oh Olive Garlic seasoning to make a great accompaniment to any pasta dish. Make a superb bread dipper or pasta topper by combining this oil with a dash of Lemon Herb seasoning blend and Parmesan cheese.
